Power Engineering Transformatory Sp. z o.o. is a company producing new HV/MV oil-filled power transformers from 6,3 MVA up to 80 MVA and nominal voltage up to 170 kV. The company was established in 1951, when Zakłady Remontowe Energetyki Poznań were created in Czerwonak near Poznań as the power maintenance unit for the West and North part of Poland. Its tasks included repairs and modernization of power transformers and distribution transformers and rotating machines – generators, turbo-generators and electric motors. In addition, technical equipment, steel structures and for over twenty years, radiators for transformers, were manufactured in its mechanical part. In 1996, the plant was privatized and transformed into a joint stock company under the name Zakłady Produkcyjno-Remontowe Energetyki Poznań „Energetyka-Czerwonak” S.A. In 2008, in order to satisfy the market demand, the company commenced the production of new oil filled transformers from 10 to 68 MVA with nominal voltage of 115 kV. The process started with designing the structure, through manufacturing for final tests at the place of use. The company has produced over 100 transformers to this day. In 2010, in the re-branding process, the company name was changed into Power Engineering S.A. On the second January 2017, a company acting under the name Power Engineering Transformatory Sp. z o.o. commenced its business operations. It was created as a result of the separation from Power Engineering S.A. of an organized part on an enterprise, under Article 529 paragraph 1 item 4 of the Commercial Companies Codes of 15 September 2000, namely by transferring to a new company under the name Power Engineering Transformatory Sp. z o.o. The company has more than 80 employees .
