Overview

ELLASSAY is a luxury Chinese fashion brand founded in 1996. With over 300 shops located in China, Ellassay is a Chinese fashion brand with a global influence. With this in mind, Ellassay engaged the talents of Jean Paul Knott in 2004, an international designer famous for his 12 years as product development director at Saint Laurent (Yves Saint Laurent). Since 2013, Ellassay has grown internationally and debuted collections at New York Fashion Week's main venue, the Lincoln Center, as well as at Milan Fashion Week since 2015. In 2015, Ellassay purchased German women's fashion brand Laurèl, which was originally a sub-brand of ESCADA, one of the three most famous luxury fashion brands in Germany. Laurèl's reach expands over 30 countries and has over 1000 shops around the world. In 2016, Ellassay aquired ownership of ED Hardy, a trendy, luxury US fashion brand established in 2004. ED Hardy boasts exclusive shops in America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and is a popular brand in Hollywood, favoured by international A-listers such as David Beckham, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Usher Raymond to name a few. In the same year, Ellassay also partnered with IRO, a Parisian fashion brand with a global reach, with stores in Europe, Canada, America, Australia and Asia. Finally in 2017 Ellassay announced their partnership with Vivienne Tam. Tam was honored by Forbes Magazine as one for the "25 Top Chinese Americans in business" and is an international designer known for her culture-bridging east-meets-west approach to design. Ellassay continues to expand its international business and progressively realise its goals as becoming an influential and international Chinese brand.
