Overview

Since 1965, the Economic Opportunity Program of Chemung and Schuyler Counties (EOP) has been a multi-service organization for family success within the community. EOP is a designated nonprofit community action agency and is the largest private human services organization in Chemung and Schuyler Counties. At its core, EOP is a vehicle to provide an opportunity for individuals and families to earn a decent living wage, learn to protect and save the money they earn and provide a positive present and future for themselves and their children. Through a combination of family development services and energy services, EOP demonstrates its commitment to the community and promotes self-sufficiency. EOP’s programs include Head Start, Centers of Excellence, Ernie Davis Music Consortium, Literacy Volunteers, Family Support Services, the Ernie Davis Community Center, the Energy Services Bureau, and the Community Food for Jobs Program.
