CORRIM Renewable Research

Overview

CORRIMs mission is to conduct and manage Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) research on the environmental impacts of the production, use, and disposal of forest products. CORRIM was formed in 1996 by 15 research institutions to provide a scientific database of information for quantifying the environmental impacts of producing and using renewable wood materials. Today, CORRIM has emerged as the scientific authority relied upon by researchers, government, and others interested in the environmental impacts of various materials. CORRIM is a non-profit 501 c(3) organization that includes institutional (voting) members, non-voting members, and affiliated organizations. Our structure includes active participation by a President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, a Director of Operations, and a Director of Science and Sustainability. CORRIM maintains a Board of Directors representing 20 research institutions, www.corrim.org/affiliates/. Together, CORRIM has published over 100 LCA reports, papers, and fact sheets representing 4 US wood producing regions and 15 different types of wood products.
