Dr. Puettmann is very successful, innovative, and enthusiastic consultant, involved in many projects. I can confirm that here work is well recognized also in Europe, where the Life Cycle Assessment is gaining its importance and it can be expected that it will become a necessary information accompanying products and services. I highly recommend Dr. Puettmann, who can without doubt help you in achieving the goals of sustainable development, either in research, new product development from renewable materials, or utilization of the whole wood value chain.

Maureen has provided me with expert advice on LCA issues, specifically forest and wood products-related projects. She has been extremely timely in returning my Emails and phone calls. She also has listened closely to my questions and concerns and then, provided useful information for my particular situation. Maureen's personality, work ethic and academic qualifications make her ideal to work with on projects.

Owner of WoodLife Environmental Consultants, an affiliate of CORRIM (Consortium for Research on Renewable Industrial Materials) has been performing life cycle assessments on forestry, wood products production, and biofuels for over 15 years. I have been involved in over 20 life cycle assessments (LCA) on forestry and forest products. Recent involvement includes developing LCI information for biofuels: producing ethanol, bio-oil, and wood pellets from either plantation grown willow, collection of forest residues, whole tree processing, or mill residues. I have served served as the lead advisor to LCA studies on forestry and wood products in Australia. This work included workshops for industrial collaborators, development of research guidelines for performing LCA’s in Australia, review of LCA models, and final review of reports according to ISO standards. In addition to the CORRIM LCA’s, Dr. Puettmann has been responsible for providing CORRIM’s life cycle inventory data to the USLCI database through the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. WoodLife has also collaborated with Mississippi State University, University of Wisconsin, Madison, University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, University of Tennessee, Oregon State University, US Forest Service, University of Idaho, AquaEter , CSIRO Australia, and the Research Council of Norway. Dr. Puettmann is currently serving as adjunct faculty at the University of Tennessee.
