In 2018, the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Initiative was established under the Clean Energy Ministerial process. Our goal is to accelerate CCUS together. The initiative brings together fourteen governments / administrations: Australia, Canada, China, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States. The European Commission is an observer. Our common objective to ensure that the potential of CCUS to reduce CO2 emissions from energy and industry is fully utilised.
