Overview

China United Network Communications Group Co. Ltd. (“China Unicom”) was established on January 6th, 2009 with the merger of former China Netcom and former China Unicom. China Unicom, consistently ranked in the Fortune Global 500, is the only Chinese telecom operator listed on the stock exchanges of New York, Hong Kong and Shanghai. China Unicom Global Limited (CUG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Unicom. CUG is headquartered in Hong Kong. China Unicom Australia, a wholly owned subsidiary of CUG, was established in 2014 in Sydney, and it was the first Chinese owned telecommunication company to successfully obtain the approval from the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) to operate in the telecommunication sector in Australia. Supported by rich local resources and China Unicom’s extensive global network, China Unicom Australia has serviced various enterprises with well-executed solutions, and it is well-known for its fast response in IT problem resolution, data centre design and build, end-to-end integrated solution, security CCTV system and maintenance services.
