China Telecom (Australia) Pty Ltd

Telecommunications

Overview

China Telecom (Australia) Corporation Limited (CTAU) was established in January 2011. Its inception is another important milestone in China Telecom’s decade of overseas expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. Subsequent to the deployment of the nodes in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, the completion of the Australian network node marks China Telecom’s preliminary accomplishment of its network layout of four core nodes in the Asia-Pacific region. These nodes will help China Telecom further extend the reach of its global services and network. Also, as our business continues to expand, branches will be set up in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane successively apart from CTAU’s headquarters in Sydney. In order to enhance cooperation between Australian and Asia-Pacific operators, and to meet the demands arising from ever-increasing Sino-Australian and international trading activities, CTAU has established international service nodes in Sydney and Perth. This move signals the Company’s intention to strengthen cooperation and explore business opportunities with major telecom operators on the basis of “drawing upon each other’s strengths, and win-win cooperation”, to cooperate with business partners for service quality improvement and joint value creation in the Asia-Pacific region, and to provide a one-stop international communication service including local support for Chinese-funded transnational businesses. CTAU will make full use of China Telecom's international network and rich resources to actively develop the international telecommunications business. It will provide customers with personalized and cost-effective integrated information and communication solutions, and diversified services, including Cloud, International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC), Virtual Private Network (VPN), Internet access and IP Transit, and Internet Data Centre (IDC) services, and rich ICT system integrated industry solutions (e.g. in Banking, Real Estate, Mining, Education industry etc.) Meanwhile, it will also uphold China Telecom’s service philosophy of "Customer First, Service Foremost" and continue its dedication to provide one-stop international communication support for multinational enterprises in Australia, as well as provide clients with quality telecommunication services and a full range of guarantees for communication to strengthen and make due contributions to Sino-Australian economic development.
