CCCFN is a non-profit and non-governmental organization created to: - Support participation - Spread climate change awareness - Share sustainable ways of living Our aim is to promote collaboration across borders and organizations. To join and co-create: networks, projects and campaigns. Our goal is to influence people's mindset about the usage of natural resources and consumption patterns. We do this by establishing collaboration with diverse interest groups and organizations, by expanding our network and by joining existing campaigns and projects. To spread awareness, we focus on promoting activities related to the UN Climate Change Conference. This year, at COP16 in Mexico, we collaborate with local civil society organizations by promoting their activities, sharing resources and networks. We believe that only when being aware of the global climate change challenge, consumers can demand sustainable products and services. Mass communication about climate and sustainable livelihoods Participation is a key factor, for our purpose, therefore we support projects that promote awareness and sustainable solutions. We focus in spreading information and campaigns during the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) and at the COP (Conference of the Parties) host country. At the moment, we promote some of the most successful projects from COP15, NEW LIFE hospitality, and other initiatives like the "Mi Casa es tu Casa" campaign, under the umbrella of ClimateXchange for COP16, in Cancun, Mexico. The ability to reach out average citizens, through creative projects and real solutions, are the kind of initiatives, activities and campaigns we are interested in promoting.
