Overview

Center of the Belarusian Solidarity (CBS) supports people who were forced to move from Belarus to Poland, mainly for political reasons. CBS’s work is now divided into six departments that are responsible for a range of activities:  Legal Aid Department: provide free comprehensive and professional legal assistance, representing the interests of repressed Belarusian citizens in various Polish authorities and offices  Educational Department: organize various educational courses, workshops for adults and children. We opened a weekend school for Belarusian children (over 60 pupils).  Culture Department: organize various cultural events aimed at uniting Belarusians abroad and integrate them into the Polish society. We organize street actions, exhibitions, presentations, workshops, dance courses, discussions and excursions.  Volunteer Department: responsible for building an adaptation mentor network, providing quick help to solve operational tasks, such as looking for housing for the refugees, logistics, purchasing and delivering products, translations, submitting applications and many other questions.  Press-center: One of the most important tasks of the press center is to disseminate in the Polish media objective and complete information about the events concerning Belarus and Belarusian diaspora in Poland.  Department of Workers' Protection in Belarus: support repressed employees of state-owned enterprises, independent trade unions, strike actions of state-owned enterprises and other initiatives of the labor’s movement.
