Overview

Castiglion del Bosco is one of the largest and most storied estates in Montalcino, as well as one of the founding members of the Brunello di Montalcino Consortium in 1967. Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo have owned the estate since 2003. The estate extends across 5,000 acres nestled in the Val D’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with 62 hectares under vine. A natural approach to grape growing, with no use of pesticides, and up-to-the-minute technology in the cellar have enabled Castiglion del Bosco to achieve the very highest standards in terms of the quality of the wines and a perfect balance in the vineyards. The core of the production is showcased by 4 Brunello di Montalcino DOCG labels, including the exclusive limited-edition Zodiac, the riserva Millecento, the cru Campo del Drago, Rosso di Montalcino, and a white wine 100% Chardonnay. Winemaker in the estate is Cecilia Leoneschi. Castiglion del Bosco also produces Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil, grappa and honey. A team of Wine Experts welcomes guests to the winery, proposing a selection of tour & tastings including of year-round tours, from Brunello tastings to the art of cheese pairing, as well as select vertical tastings with the oldest of vintages and an annual invitation to experience the harvest. The winery embraces the Millecento Wine Club, one of the most exclusive clubs in the wine world, by invitation only, arranging a selection.
