Overview

Centre for Accessibility in Built Environment Foundation (CABE Foundation) is a non-profit company headquartered in New Delhi, India working to promote an equal society for every one irrespective of age, abilities, gender, sexual orientation, or any other diversity. Established on 01 April 2016 as an advocacy, research and capacity building organisation to further the object of promoting accessibility in the built environment, transportation systems & community infrastructure and enhance mobility for all for a liveable habitat, CABE Foundation is actively assisting the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPWD), Govt. of India in its Accessible India Campaign. It advocates an enabling, equitable and inclusive environment for all by undertaking Capacity Building Programs on a wide range of thematic areas for better implementation of disability legislations and policies, for a wide range of stakeholders. It conducts Access Audit of Built Environments (including buildings, community spaces, heritage sites etc. and transport infrastructure & services), undertakes and supports research programs, policy formulation and reform, raises awareness on human rights and diversity inclusion etc. CABE Foundation also offers Consultancy Services in the areas of accessibility, universal design, disability laws, legal issues, inclusive education, reservation, project formulation and management related matters.
