The Biomedical Students Mentorship and Research Society (BIOSMERS) is an initiative founded within the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. This Society is aimed at: • Improving public awareness about the Medical Laboratory Science profession • Mentoring students in various aspects that will boost their personal and professional development • Improving the knowledge and skills of students in Research writing and publication The vision of this Society is to raise a generation of highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientists starting from the Undergraduate level. This will contribute to the overall enhancement of healthcare diagnostics and will further help to strengthen Nigeria's healthcare system.
