Overview
The Australian Institute of Energy ("AIE") brings together individuals and companies with interests and involvement in the energy sector in Australia. Through a wide range of activities, the AIE encourages discussion and debate on energy issues, promotes research and disseminates information. These activities, including conferences and seminars, symposia and technical meetings, attract speakers of national and international standing and enable AIE members to discuss and debate emerging energy issues and developments in technology. The AIE's key objectives are: ✔ To be a strong independent Institute, representative of all energy sectors, actively networking and debating economic, environmental, social and technology issues; ✔ To promote effective communication and interaction between members; ✔ To achieve excellence in the provision of services to members; ✔ To encourage collaboration with related organisations, in Australia and overseas, in advancing members' interests; ✔ To promote high standards of member conduct, competence and achievement and professional interest and inquiry; and ✔ To ensure enhanced community awareness of issues in the production and use of energy and in responsible energy policies.
