Overview

AIM is the first organization in Asia to focus on growing mentors with formal training to improve the quality of mentoring. The non-profit organization has pioneered a structured framework to upskill mentors with a specific approach and techniques focused on developing awareness and well-being of the mentee. AIM wants to create a world where mentoring is a key pillar in a pay-it-forward culture with a vibrant community of mentors and mentees. The IMPORTANCE of MENTORING Mentoring is about the focus on helping another to improve performance and productivity, learning and growth, to achieve deep human potential. By becoming an effective mentor, you can enhance self-awareness, leadership and managerial skills while improving individual and team effectiveness and performance. Everyone who makes it has a MENTOR. A rich body of research shows that highly successful people hardly ever make it on their own. They enlist the help of the experienced people who can lead them and guide them every step of the way – people to whom they can turn for counsel, for advice, for motivation, for key techniques and strategies that minimize risk and maximize success. The ASIA INSTITUTE of MENTORING APPROACH We believe that as a community, many of the social, workplace and economic issues of our time can be addressed through mentoring. Raising of a community of qualified mentors would allow the impact to be scaled quickly to see a positive outcome. With an holistic approach, grounded in Asian values, wisdom, and philosophy, we are polishing and optimizing the gems of our heritage. If we can mentor 10,000 people in Singapore and Asia every year … to reach out, to connect, to guide, to consult, to lead, to empower … imagine the kind of impact it will bring to our society, economy, communities, schools, workplace. Now imagine if we could then get these 10,000 to pay it forward as mentors, every year, for the next 100 years.
