Fri., Aug. 16 - Mon., Sept. 2, 2024. Closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays. Welcome to the Alaska State Fair, home of record-setting giant vegetables and beautiful flower gardens. Nestled in the heart of the Chugach Mountains, in the fertile Matanuska-Susitna Valley, the Fairgrounds are just an hour north of Anchorage. Each Fall, the Fair provides a setting for Alaska’s last blast of summer, a showcase of Alaska’s uniqueness and beauty. We invite you to visit the Fair and also take advantage of the year-round services the Alaska State Fair has to offer including horse shows, facility rentals, concerts, trade shows, and winter RV & boat storage. See you at the Fair. Vision: Alaska State Fair Inc. provides a center for the Alaskan community to gather in a dynamic and safe atmosphere throughout the year. Mission: Produce a traditional State Fair which educates and entertains Fairgoers; Provide stable finances through good business practices, statewide outreach, partnerships and hosting a variety of community, cultural, and business events.
