I've been fortunate enough to work with Zach at two different times in our careers, and most recently on the Talent Development team at Harlem RBI and DREAM Charter School. Zach is one of those colleagues that you always want on your team - quite simply, he not only makes your work better, but he makes you better as a teammate, too. Zach was one of the first members of our team to push us to bring more data into our work, which can be a shift for staff working in a people-based field. However, Zach's human-centered orientation allowed the team to see how using data could actually make our work even more people-oriented. He's a teammate who would stay late or come in on weekends when a task needed to be done, and he effectively built relationships across the organization and across levels, making him not only effective in his formal role, but also as a driver of culture and influence. When you work with Zach, you know you're working with someone who will always act with integrity and work strategically, and will also take time to celebrate success and build a sustainable culture.

Anyone who has Zach on their team should consider themselves very lucky. He is a great blend of driven and people-oriented. He supports many different stakeholders through his recruitment and selection job, but doesn't just go through the motions. He is great at what he does because of the relationships he is able to build with everyone he works with. He is a great listener, he is funny, he is kind, and he has great integrity. He also has great EQ and can really understand the unspoken dynamics too. I especially enjoyed my work with him through our cross-functional Culture Committee. I saw Zach step up to revive our internal newsletter, inspire several others to get involved, and coordinate the monthly sending of information that really engages staff and brings positivity to impact our org culture. Zach is someone you want to be a part of your team, given all that he is able to contribute to the work and to the culture you are trying to build.
