Antrim, Northern Ireland Worked as part of the Mechanical Design Team in Sensata Technologies (Formerly Schrader Electronics). work involved assisting in a sub-team project on a new Motorbike Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). principle duties revolved around planning, performing and recording results for mechanical product testing and included a variety of different methods. there was also an element of assisting with design/drawing and use of the company PLM systems, designing and manufacturing jigs and… Show more Worked as part of the Mechanical Design Team in Sensata Technologies (Formerly Schrader Electronics). work involved assisting in a sub-team project on a new Motorbike Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). principle duties revolved around planning, performing and recording results for mechanical product testing and included a variety of different methods. there was also an element of assisting with design/drawing and use of the company PLM systems, designing and manufacturing jigs and fixtures, liaising with both internal and external parties such as suppliers, maintaining a small stock management database for project specific parts, working to deadlines and when necessary travel to meet company needs. Training provided during this time included an Advanced Excel course undertaken at the BT training centre in Belfast, an ILM endorsed undergraduate scheme focusing on time management, communication and presentation skills and Instron Tensile equipment training.
