I have brought to fruition major HR integration projects related to the company’s exponential growth, which has necessitated consistency in HR practices across 250 locations within 19 states. My leadership pertaining to compensation and benefits has included 401k plan administration, annual review of all benefits offerings, health plan advisory for cost containment, collective bargaining involvement with 10 unions, and competitive salary analysis. Quantification of data has become quite important in HR. In that regard, I conduct analyses of HRIS metrics and review KPIs—inclusive of data related to salary, payroll, cost of benefits, cost-per-hire, audits of background checks, worker safety, employee retention, compliance with onboarding procedures, and staffing. I provide substantial employment law and regulatory compliance expertise, inclusive of investigating and favorably resolving issues brought to light by the DOL, NYSUIB, and the EEOC. I have also ensured proper execution of FMLA and compliance with ADA directives. Responding to auditors seeking documentation related to workers’ compensation, collective bargaining, unemployment insurance, health insurance coverage (ACA compliance), and 401k compliance, is another aspect of my work. Relatedly, I have also been a major contributor to the initial employee handbook as well as its update every two years. I have oversight for recruitment and staffing, especially during my former role as a Recruiting Manager (see below). I currently monitor personnel budget/payroll costs and proactively project staffing needs at 25 locations. I have authored 75% of the company’s job descriptions, developed and implemented a career path promotion structure, and championed a project to reclassify exempt and non-exempt employees. Additionally, I created the structure for the company’s annual performance appraisal program. Show less
