Simon is a tenacious exponent of inside selling. Highly motivated to hit his numbers and support his sales team. Highly recommended.

Ridiculously tenacious is the phrase that comes to mind when I think about Simon. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Simon for over 12 months, during which time he has supported me in building new business pipeline in excess of £2million. Above all, I was impressed with Simon’s ability to take in the complexities of Syncsort’s portfolio and articulate the business benefits to our customers and prospects, he was up to speed and contributing within days. And, of course, his ability to bring humour along with insightful comment on every occasion we worked together. Simon would be a true asset for any positions requiring strong pipeline building from meticulous call planning and achievement of call out targets. Simon comes with my heartfelt recommendation.

My role was to achieve a £400k margin target each year. I started with no paying accounts and built up a customer base that enabled me to achieve my target consistently. My sales included a mix of high volume low margin products as well as high end solution selling with consultancy services. During my time at Blackbox I sold the following product stacks, Cabling, bulk, Cat5 Cat6 and Fibre Cabinets and Patch Panels. Analogue and Digital KVM,Power Management, Media Converters and Extenders, Network switches, Routers Wireless and Digital Signage. Show less

I am a single parent and took this role due to a lifestyle change as at the time I picked my son up from school at 3pm. My role at EST Marketing was to find and close new business opportunities within the IT sector, within this period I brought many Blue Chip companies to EST including Vendors, Distributors and Resellers with a good number of those within the Security and Virtualization arena. My role was covering the whole sales cycle including finding opportunities and booking my own meetings, writing in depth proposals covering pricing, project planning and implementation, negotiating on price and finally closing the opportunity. For instance in the last year I was at EST Marketing I brought in half of the company’s revenue from new business alone. Show less

I had two roles at Logicalis. I started life as an Internal Business Developer but was promoted through the ranks very quickly to a Field Sales position after overachieving constantly. In the Field Sales position I was selling the complete networking solution, including Network Infrastructure / Storage / Security and very high level Consultancy. Eventually I carried a £450k margin based target which I achieved from purely new business. The role involved writing proposals, presenting in front of Board Members, pricing, ordering kit plus interacting / managing project teams of Project Managers, Architects and Installation Engineers.
