I have known Sharon for about ten years. I first met Sharon when she worked with the Government Corporate Services Unit as a Human Resource Consultant. At that time she assisted in a hiring process. Sharon was very professional and dedicated to ensure that the best person was selected. Sharon later worked with me as a colleague in her role as Manager of Organizational Development for the Nova Scotia Environment department. Sharon was instrumental in advancing career development and initiated a recognition program for staff. She was also instrumental in developing a talent management assessment for the department. As a result of Sharon's efforts the department also initiated a work life balance program. Under the departmental HR Strategy, Sharon demonstrated her leadership in the following key areas that impacted the department in a positive way: Career Planning, Healthy Workplace, Recognition and Diversity. Sharon developed and led all these programs with minimal resources.. Sharon's most recent work with the department was her leadership in developing and implementing a Workforce Planning Strategy. As a result of this, the department completed a process of reorganization which enabled the department to focus on core business and collaborate more effectively across program areas. Sharon continually demonstrated professionalism, commitment, enthusiasm and fortitude in all her work - despite the many challenges she faced. I would certainly recommend Sharon for her skills and knowledge in the field of human resources, organizational development and skills development

Within the short time that Sharon and I worked together, I found her to be thoughtful, dillgent and professional. Her approach to learning and organization development is centered around data, insights and measurable outcomes. Balanced by her collaborative consulting style and intuition, Sharon makes the work in the field the kind of work that is sought after by leaders and clients.
