• Reporting directly to the Dean, Oversee all financial and human resources activities for College of Veterinary Medicine, which has an annual budget of $100 million, 170 faculty members, and 450 staff members. • Provide leadership and direction for CVM information technology department. • Provide leadership and direction for college facilities and operations – including over 700,000 square feet of research and instructional space – including BSL-2 and BSL-3 lab facilities as well as the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. • Work with key stakeholder groups, college & university administration, state government leaders, and key legislators to determine, develop, and advance key CVM priorities with the Board of Regents and General Assembly. Team has been successful in garnering over $600,000 in permanent funding and $3.8 million in one-time funding for CVM agriculture-related initiatives over the last 4 years. • Serve as primary liaison between CVM and UGA Finance and Administration on all budget, accounting, facilities, and human resources issues. • Directly supervise 4 staff members, with a total staff of 25-30 in the Finance and Administration Area. • Serve as key member of University-wide advisory committee charged with evaluating technological alternatives and cultural readiness for transition to new financial and human resources information systems. • Interact and collaborate with with directors, department heads, legislators, state agencies, and outside constituents to resolve financial issues and advance college strategic and financial goals.
