The Women of Australian Motor Sport (WAMS) committee was founded in 2010 to act as an interface with the newly created FIA Women in Motor Sport Commission (WMC). The aim of both groups is to address relatively low participation and retention rates of women within motor sport on a global scale. The committee is made up of 11 volunteer members and is a diverse group of women who are passionate about motor sport and are actively involved in motor sport on a regular basis.
