Overview

The Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Limited (CAMS) has been the custodian of motor sport in Australia since 1953. It is affiliated with the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). CAMS is responsible for almost all forms of four-wheeled motor sport that include categories such as circuit racing, rallying, off road, historic competition and other general motor sport activities including motorkhana, speed events, hill climb, autocross and khanacross events. As the ASN for motor sport in Australia, CAMS administers, promotes, manages, encourages, conducts and exercises control of and over motor sport in Australia and its territories in accordance with the International Sporting Code (as set out by the FIA), and at all times in accordance with and in the spirit of the traditions of true competitive sport. CAMS is also the recognised National Sporting Organisation (NSO) for motor sport by the Commonwealth Government via the Australian Sports Commission (ASC).
