Vision Track specialise in camera equipment for corporate and personal vehicles. This role was less straight forward as it involved product testing and quality control as well as packaging and shipping. I established an extremely good rapport with the other team member and was invited back to work in the team for 2 consecutive summers. Heathfield produce high-end lighting and I was part of a team of 5. Although essentially a packaging role, extra care was needed due the high value of the goods. Interdepartmental communication was important in this role as the individual orders were complex and were being shipped internationally Heathfield produce high-end lighting and I was part of a team of 5. This started as a summer work experience project and then developed into a yearly event up until 2018. When working at Thinkerdoer, I was part of a small team who specialised in creating pharmaceutical brand identities. My time at Thinkerdoer was spent doing everything from storyboarding and brainstorming ideas for potential outcomes, to creating elements on certain webpages for a client project. I also designed publications for use within corporate environments. This started as a summer work experience project and then developed into a yearly event up until 2018. Calverley produce branded gifts for the corporate sector and while I was working with them, I was part of a team of 10, both permanent and temporary staff. My role was to pack the products that were than sent off-site to be labelled. My second part of my work experience was at Identity Design. I was part of a larger team of around 20 – 30 people. Whilst working with this team I took part in a project for Bonhams Auctioneers and also helped brainstorm ideas for a Manhattan based rebranding project. This placement was a great way for me to experience working as part of larger team. I have learned a lot from this and have also had a chance to feel the pressure of the professional working environment. My second part of my work experience was at Identity Design. I was at ARC-ML as part of my school-initiated work experience initiative. Whilst at the company, I was part of a 7-man team which designed for an architectural environment. I researched potential ideas and investigated suitable materials for use on a London based project. I was also able to experience the CAD side of the industry, something that I was particularly interested in. I learned a lot from this placement and have taken the skills that I learned with me into further education. Show less
