Community aspect included covering outpatient clinics held in hospital as well as GP surgeries, local mental health & rehab units, nursing & residential home patients, domiciliary visits and patient education groups. Food First aspect included being part of the Food First Project to help reduce malnutrition in the community by advising on appropriate prescribing, training health professionals on the use of MUST and food fortification principles carrying out and supporting audits carried out in GP surgeries and Care Homes. During this post I was also up-skilled by band 6 & 7 Paediatric Dietitians to take on non complex paediatric outpatients due to high demand and influx of paediatric referrals. Completed in house training and tutorials, as well as attending study evenings to be able to equip myself with the necessary skills to assess and review these patients.
