I have held roles as an explosives engineer and instrumentation engineer while with RESPEC. I have spent time working on many different sites on a wide range of projects and roles. My various responsibilities have included drill and blast review and optimization, drill and blast design, establishing new roles onsite, blast vibration investigation, mine planning, 3D spatial scanning and mapping, and litigation support. I have filled the role of a subject matter expert in drill and blast engineering in a varied capacity for the roles I have filled and the projects I have worked on. I have provided clients with services including detailed data acquisition, data analysis, reporting, providing recommendations for improvement and optimization, process investigation and review, and drill and blast design. I perform the necessary research and collaboration to ensure I provided detailed and accurate solutions if there is ever a need for expertise beyond my current experience. For the last year, I have been managing the explosives engineering group, which includes the instrumentation engineer roles where laser, survey, and scanning instrumentation is used as a part of obtaining highly accurate and specialized data.• Work effectively with clients of various experience and cultures towards improving and optimizing drilling and blasting operations• Provide guidance on blast design and procedures• Utilize various monitoring and survey equipment to collect and interpret data for recommendations in process changes and improvements• Safely and effectively work with shots in high risk scenarios• Perform technical research and present on project feasibility•Manage instrumentation sales for strategic partners Show less

Mine Engineer I/II
-
Jun 2015 - Aug 2018
I held roles as an operations supervisor for the remainder of the time. I held on site engineering roles as the crush and convey mining engineer, short range mining engineer, and drill and blast engineer. I continually worked and coordinated with various departments on multiple projects across various site operations. As the crush and convey mining engineer, I designed the heap leach pad and developed short- and long-term stacking plans according to specifications provided by the crush and convey, hydrometallurgical, and mining departments. As the short range mining engineer, I created the detailed designs and plans according to long range specifications while effectively communicating the designs and plans with mine operations. I also completed short range mine plans covering multiple months to a year on a weekly basis. I reported on the production performance and designed mining shapes and temporary access according to the needs of the downstream processes. As the drill and blast engineer, I designed and optimized the drill and blast patterns for three pits and had to account for varying geology and operational restrictions due to drill availability and access. This included effectively predicting and optimizing the resultant blast vibrations by adjusting the blast design and timing as necessary. In all the mentioned engineering roles, I continually and successfully communicated and coordinated the completion of designs and plans to mine operations for their execution. Show less
