      ProWeld (Formerly Colm Steel & Tools) is a Steel Stockist & Engineering Supplies business trading in our Athlone. We opened another outlet in Dublin in 2017. We stock a complete range of steels cut to any size in a variety of different finishes in our Athlone business. Stocking over 12,000 different product including Tools, Welding Plants, Compressors, Fastners, Fixings, Railing Clamps (Q-clamps), Consumables and many more products. Our Unique Selling Point is our knowledge and the ability to offer all products needed to complete a fabrication project. Being from a steel fabrication background, I can offer good, experienced advice on products and also best practices. We pride ourselves on providing solutions for our customers and thrive on passing information from product manufacturers to our customers.

      On my return from a year in Australia in 2002 my business partner and I completed the successful buy-out of a small steel fabrication business. Within 3 years we achieved great targets, 500% Increase in Turnover with our strategy focused entirely on the construction industry in Ireland. 15 Full-time employees, a great in-house company ethos and good working environment all contributed to the success. Due to the downturn in 2007/08 I closed down the manufacturing business and invested in a long established Steel Stockholders/Engineering suppliers in Athlone.

The business was predominantly a sub-contractor for both large and small steel fabrication companies that required site erectors and welders.
