'Energy, grit and perseverance' are the words that come to mind when I think of Oscar. I have known him from our time in college where as a student he tutored several of his colleagues and juniors, which helped cement his well known reputation as a warmhearted fast learner. He never once touted his outstanding marks or his remarkable wealth of knowledge. Since then, I have seen him grow and evolve into more demanding positions of considerable responsibility, in ludicrously difficult circumstances, which have only served to surface his innate leadership, strong will and optimism. I am particularly impressed at his self-determination of continuous improvement though unbiased self-reflection. And of course his habit of reading an ever growing eclectic collection of technical and non-technical books, taking notes and finding ways of applying them in business and life. Oscar would be a excellent addition to any team requiring energy, grit and perseverance, since from a technical point of view: from mobile development to distributed AWS systems, it seems like there's nothing he can't do or failing that, learn how to do.
