I'm currently a part of the team at MASARY Studios in the role of Technical Assistant. MASARY is a group of artists developing large scale, site specific, interactive artworks. These installations utilize sound, light, interactivity and performance. I’m honored to be a part of a team doing such innovative, and creatively fulfilling work. In the summer of 2020, I collaborated with Artiphon to create the Orba Max for Live Utility device. This middleware for their recent Orba instrument, written in Max MSP and designed to allow for simultaneous MIDI mappings of continuous MIDI CC data, was created to give Ableton Live users a more intuitive, simplified workflow with their instrument. The Max device is available for download on Antiphon’s website via the Orba downloads page. In the summer of 2020, I collaborated with Artiphon to create the Orba Max for Live Utility device. In 2020, I was hired as a Teaching Assistant to help instruct the UX for Creative Technologists course at CalArts. I was responsible for facilitating bi- weekly group ideation exercises, and helping students procure interviews early on in the research phase of their projects. Students were asked to step outside of the box and trade in their laptops for sticky notes and Sharpies, as they learned the ins and outs of the Google design sprint process through hands-on experience. I worked from home as a freelance recording engineer. After getting an investment from my parents, I was able to convert my basement in to an acoustically treated recording environment with a digital audio rig capable of recording up to 24 channels. I worked with bands, rappers, and vocalists from the greater Portland area and was able to earn money and real world experience recording and producing music.
