Wā Collective's mission is to give tertiary students access to free or subsided menstrual products on university campuses. As a social enterprise, all profits made by Wā Collective go right back into purchasing more stock, providing education and supporting students in extreme hardship. During my time with Wā Collective, I was heavily involved in branding and marketing, as well as co-running the company while it became a fully fledged. We formed relationships with universities over New Zealand to provide subsidised menstrual cups to uni students. I was also lucky enough to be involved with Wā Collective's Pledge Me campaign in November 2017. We successfully raised funds to be able to buy in a shipment of an ethical and superior menstrual cup from the USA for operations in 2018. This Pledge Me also enabled Wā Collective to expand their offering to even more university students and become a menstrual cup brand stocked in many retailers across New Zealand.

Massive Magazine is Massey University's student magazine. Working in a team of three, alongside the editor and advertising manager, my role is to manage the design side of the magazine. This includes managing a team of illustrators for each magazine, planning the layout and journey through the magazine, and laying out content. As an intern within the Service Design team at MPI I worked alongside a number of people within MPI to create resources and guides to inform businesses about a new Food Act rolling out in 2016. These resources provide food orientated businesses guidance through the journey of getting registered all the way through to providing safe and suitable food for their customers. My main role was to make sure these resources were designed with the users' experiences in mind. As a recent graduate, I was able to make sure the language and jargon used were easy to understand, and through my graphic design skills, make sure the documents desirable and pleasant to interact with.

Myself and my project team were employed by Open Lab to make our 3rd-year project created uniquely for LIC (Livestock Improvement Corporation) into production. We spent two months working alongside Open Lab and LIC to refine a tool to equip dairy farmers and their staff with the knowledge of best practice to get the most efficiency from their cows. The final tool, a Hoofer Doofer. A waterproof, stain resistant, paint-swatch-like tool which summarises best practice of dairy cows from birth to being part of the herd to retirement.
