The contract to implement the $230k project was one of nineteen awarded by the EU to promote rural development through tourism. • Contract management and collaboration with local government. I am the principle contact with EU representatives, have assisted the Telica municipal government in the creation of a new tourism office, and facilitated an initial agreement with the environment agency regarding a framework for collaborative oversight of the reserve. • Project management and monitoring. I have supervised the creation, training and registration of a community tourism cooperative and the construction of a café and eco-cabin on Telica volcano.
