Having worked with Luke directly on a volunteering project with the European Youth Parliament (https://eyp.org/about-us/), for an online, four day event for participants around Turku city in Finland this was the following evaluation I wrote for him: Luke proved to be an invaluable member of the chairs’ team at Turku in several ways. Having come aboard Luke was enthusiastic from the start and this continued throughout, even after the session had to switch to a digital format. Having worked with Luke for his TO, Luke did very well in producing a good Topic Overview which gave a good insight for the topic and its problems. During the writing process Luke communicated clearly about his timeline and was incredibly proactive and responsive if he had any points of clarification he needed help with and was very happy to take on suggestions and implement them in his work. Luke should take confidence in his work and continue to approach any future pre-session tasks in the same manner as he did in Turku and I am confident he will. This was Luke’s first time chairing digitally, which I believe shows a lot of character about him that he was not at all phased with switching to the digital session. Luke was very attentive throughout the pre-session modules we ran as he came to the session well prepared and quietly confident in himself. Again, chairing at a digital session for the first time as Luke did so well, shows how he can equip himself and his confidence should only grow from that. One are where Luke could improve moving forward in future sessions is attempting to engage his fellow chairs in the pre-session work to discuss the content and kickstart conversations about the usefulness/weaknesses of the trainings run so that both he and the team can gain a deeper understanding and confidence of chairing arriving at a session. It should be noted that on the officials’ training day of the session, Luke was fully engaged in all our work and asking questions. I think the above advice is for someone who has the ability to take a next step in being a chair and developing some traits of leadership and although Luke was a first time digital chair at Turku, with how well he got on, he should be looking and wanting to take that next step as future chairs’ teams and delegates will benefit immensely from this. At Turku, Luke continued his great work. Again, he had clearly made an effort on behalf of his committee as to his team building and committee work so that his delegates could have the most positive experience possible. It is also important to note that he worked very well with his co-chair and were able to plan out their chairing very well. At most times he remained in control leading his committee whilst only being very active when the situation called for it. In the future I would recommend that he remembers to seek help when thinks he may need it as it will provide him with more opportunities to develop and learn as a chair. It is important to note that Luk
