  It all started with a need. A day at the beach in 2014 with tetchy toddlers not happy on hot sand and sharp shells. A gap in the market was identified and we were determined to fill it. And so Minnow designs was born and with it the dream to provide parents with a beautiful, high quality beach shoe making life easier for them and more fun for their little explorers. With over 15 years in the fashion industry as a designer and a passion for product I set about creating the original Minnow beach bootie. I built relationships with reliable production partners and subsequently created a water shoe that was soft and malleable, allowing a toddlers developing foot to move freely, whilst protecting from the elements. With a sharp eye for detail and love of all things aesthetically pleasing I designed our water shoes to be the perfect combination of function and style. Minnow Designs was the brainchild of Stacey Fisher and myself. As co-founders we have built the brand up to 140+ stockists internationally and sell direct to consumers online. We have been featured in numerous national media publications, were finalists at Innovations Pitchfest and Australian women's Weekly Businesswomen of the year awards. The combination of Stacey's marketing and start up expertise alongside my industry and design experience has propelled Minnow to the business it is today. Our partnership and therefore our business has grown in strength through our aptitude for risk taking, flexibility, hard work and determination.
