The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is an IRS-funded program that offers free tax return preparation to qualified individuals making tax preparation accessible to low-income taxpayers with language barriers, disabilities, and the elderly.I manage and oversee all aspects of the program from volunteer recruitment and training/guiding volunteers through their IRS certification process to marketing, outreach, tax preparation, educating clients on tax-related matters, filing returns, and following up on the status of filed returns. In my first year of leading the program I saw an 11% increase in clients from the 2021 tax season.I am an IRS-certified tax preparer. Show less
