Katy has the personality that you look for in both a colleague and a friend. I had the honor of getting to know Katy both professionally and personally, as we worked closely together at Zift Solutions for a year and a half. She is extremely smart, personable, patient, and most importantly, easy to talk to. Her clients and colleagues very much enjoyed working with and getting to know her - she is a valuable asset to any organization, and anyone would be lucky to work with her!

Over the course of the previous two years at Zift Solutions, I have worked closely with Katy in her role as Account Manager. The passion, drive and personal ownership that she exudes for her accounts is second only to the warmth of her personality. Her exceptional attention to the details and awareness of the cultural (and often unexpressed) needs of her clients and constituents alike have made her one of the best AM's in the business. On a personal note, Katy brings an easy going and air of fun that makes her exceptionally personable and easy to connect with. She has a desire and ability to learn the ins and outs of all considerations (that directly affect her clients and her clients partners) and she uses this information to optimally position the best solutions to meet their needs. These skills, along with her ability to communicate clearly and effectively, would make Katy an asset to any organization or role.

As a beer lab, our mission is to use the science of beer to build community, educate beer drinkers, and create the highest-quality beer possible. Beyond bringing people into our taprooms for a delicious beverage, we are deeply involved in our local Durham/RTP community, assisting and contributing to both STEM and community-minded projects and organizations. The core values of our company are to build community, to create happiness, & to be customer focused in all that we do. I lead the charge on many of our community-minded projects, oversee both of The Glass Jug's taprooms (RTP & Downtown Durham, manage the company's financials, HR, and business operations.

I managed relationships and grew accounts at Zift Solutions, a startup and world leader in channel marketing software. My experience at Zift includes: Account growth - I was the only account manager at Zift when I started, managing roughly $700,000 in annual revenue. We grew existing accounts and gained many new ones in the two years I spent at Zift. When I left, there were three times as many employees, including four account managers, each managing roughly $1.5 million annually. Channel Marketing Strategy - For my customers to be successful users of our software, they needed a solid channel marketing strategy. Zift was in a unique position of seeing the successes and failures of many of the world's best channel marketing companies. I was able to enhance my customers' success by providing expert guidance based on these leading-edge best practices. I improved customers' programs by guiding them on how to best work with their partners (what entices, motivates & works for them) and how to put together successful marketing campaigns, programs and tactics designed specifically for use through the channel. Business and software direction In this startup environment, I was able to help shape the direction of the company and product. As an account manager, I touched a much broader number of aspects of the business than the average person. I was able to provide my unique perspective to our leadership team as they determined the direction that would best position us for success. Many of my proposals were met with great success upon entry to the market. Note: Please do not take the numbers here as valuations for Zift as a company. They are not reflective of all Zift revenue.
