  I manage a small team of three to four writers to create, review, and publish articles narrating the student-athlete lifestyle, SCAC Division III results, tournament summaries, and any other topic in relation to athletics within the university’s community. As an editor, I ensure to deliver three articles weekly in respect to the given deadline. I also publish some articles myself in MPA format by conducting interviews with student-athletes and coaches for accurate quotations. My proudest articles, that I published, are: “Volleyball team starts the season with a three-peat success” and “From the sun into AC: Indoor soccer league”. The proudest articles, that my contribution writers published, are: “A Return to the Field: Bridgette’s story” and “Spirituality and athleticism”.

  I assessed applicants’ resumes and made a decision on their status (accepted, denied, or on hold) in regards to the organization’s expectation and demand in education and work experience. Through this acquisition process, I professionally contacted applicants through the phone and email to request additional information or to follow up with them on the next steps of their application process. Overall, I familiarize myself with the recruitment progress using the Payton system while leaving daily and detailed notes for my supervisor to know. Within their application process, I contacted to confirm salary expectations and negotiated in respect to the organization’s budget. I have also conducted referrals checks and reviewed and approved transcripts in respect to the education requirement. Throughout the internship, I attended and participated in weekly Human Resources team meetings regarding upcoming events, goals, COVID-19 protocols, employee relations, and benefit season. Within the meetings, I contributed by providing alternative solutions and enforced the organization’s policies with the team.
