  I participated in the ICAEW Virtual Work Experience week. Throughout the week, I took part in several workshops such as 'The power of presenting' and 'Application preparation', got to network with employers from some of the UK’s top 10 accountancy firms and worked on my personal development.Over the course of the week, I worked on a group project amassing a presentation at the end of the week to a board of directors from different accounting firms. The group project consisted of us working together as a group to give a company financial advice to help solve some of the complex issues that the company faced. This gave me an insight into what a Chartered Accountant does on a daily basis as well as the different positions available within the finance sector.   I am delighted to announce that I have completed the Virtual Insight Week programme at PwC UK. During this week I got to find out more about what working at PwC is like, the different business areas and explore my potential career options with PwC. It was fascinating to have an in-depth insight into each line of service PwC provides and the live 'Give It A Go' sessions allowed me to complete tasks the employees do on a day-to-day basis.Having the chance to participate in the PwC essay competition, I developed a business proposal to help with a mock client’s production in ways they could cut costs whilst adapting to an emerging sustainable market.My top takeaway from this week is that there are many routes into accounting and a multitude of occupations in the industry. #pwc
