Overview

At the Dog, Duck and Cat Trust we want children to learn about staying safe, in a way that is fun and age appropriate, in their day to day lives and in their local community. We are passionate about supporting your children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. We ensure children know, and believe, that they have a person in their life they can trust and talk to, if they are ever worried or scared, no matter how awful or small their concern may be. The approach is simple yet effective. The Dog, Duck and Cat characters appear in story form and activities which help adults educate young children about a range of different subjects whilst older children can use these educational resources for themselves. In using the DDC Trust resources, schools can be confident that they are addressing both statutory requirements and the needs of their pupils as part of their PSHEe or broader provision in school. Our new pre-birth project, currently being developed, for ‘mums to be’ aims to provide help and support for a healthy pregnancy. These new resources will help to give children the best possible start in life through, ‘Caring for You is Caring for Two!’ If you'd like to connect with us and find out more, including opportunities for volunteering, please get in touch by emailing info@dogduckandcat.co.uk “Children were fully engaged with a lovely safety message and all children were encouraged to participate. Thank you” Reception Class, Primary School, Great Barr
