  After Hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated Puerto Rico, I left my marketing job in New York City to support community-driven and asset-based cleanup and restoration efforts. Since moving back to New York City I have been coordinating fundraising efforts for Energise Puerto Rico, a nonprofit focused on providing hi-capacity solar-chargeable mobile power stations to people in need on the island so that they are better prepared to deal with future hurricanes and power outages.
