      The Lowry Supporting the staging of performance poet Ben Mellor's new show titled Kiss it Better. The show is being made with support from the University of Manchester and the Royal hospital in Salford. The show studies the placebo effect and its impact on the medical profession.

The performance was titled the Pleasant Sunday Afternoon Society and had a cast of 70 performers aged from 10yrs - 82 yrs old from across the surrounding community. The event was opened by Sir Richard Leese and pulled in record audience figures.
