    • Co-founder at Design Age Accelerator
      • Aug 2020 - Feb 2022

I co-led the development of the prototype Design Age Accelerator with Julian Grice and design for ageing specialist, Future Public. The project had a single-minded vision - to help people live longer better lives through inspirational and effective design. This was the first project from the ‘Healthy Ageing by Design’ campaign funded by UKRI and supported by the Healthy Ageing Challenge. We co-designed the service with users and entrepreneurs exploring a healthy ageing design service for business. The prototype examined and developed a value proposition including the need for; a pioneer community of ‘age informed’ designers to advise solution providers; facilitated access to 'expert users' to enable solution providers to create higher performing products and services ; and a digital-platform proposition connecting a design-for-ageing community to commissioners.Through the Healthy Ageing by Design community - https://www.linkedin.com/company/healthy-ageing-by-design/ - we will be showcasing opportunities for design-led innovation, encouraging an active conversation between stakeholders, entrepreneurs and designers.Find out more here: https://medium.com/healthy-ageing-by-design/design-accelerates-blog-3-acting-faster-251b247fbb33
