I have also responded to challenging, high-level peak periods, whilst under pressure, all while maintaining a calm demeanour when dealing with customers.   This was a role that was hugely independent. As this cafe was relatively small I was required to work on my own most day's and thus was entirely reliant on myself to solve problems that might arise throughout the course if the work day.
