Overview

The Global Fund for Forgotten People was founded by the government of the Sovereign Order of Malta. The Fund consists of two charitable organisations, one in the United Kingdom and one in the United States. The aim of the Fund is to raise money for works of the Order and to sustain and enhance the capacity of the Order to deliver help to those who would otherwise be forgotten. In partnership with the Order’s national and international organisations and its diplomatic corps, the Global Fund raises awareness of, and support for, issues which have fallen under the radar, and where the Order is in a position to help. The Global Fund makes approximately 70 grants a year in support of forgotten people; those who, even in our modern world, when the spotlight of attention seems to shine everywhere, are suffering beneath the surface.
