Large farming enterprise with many diversifications including blackcurrants for Ribena, cider apples for Heineken and Aspalls, chickens for the supermarkets, arable farming, biomass boilers and PV installations as well as tourism with 6 holiday cottages. We are part of a higher level stewardship scheme where we take great care of the countryside in which we live. Before coming back to Herefordshire I worked in London in the PR industry, power shoulders, breakfast meetings and packing endless envelopes. This was back in the day when there was no social media, everything was print or broadcast and computers were hardly thought of. Contact with journalists were over coffees and in winebars. Presentations were on acetate and typing was on a typewriter with carbon copies. At Countrywide we had one computer which was huge and which you could book a slot!
