Working as part of a new team putting in place digitisation and conservation plans for a 100,000 image-strong photo collection on four-year US Department of Education funded project to implement a free, online, bilingual image-archive platform, promoting accessibility to photographs spanning the Middle East (Turkey-Iran), covering the time-period 1950s-early 2000s. Instigated city-wide Archival network of national and private institutions, libraries, museums and galleries, collaboratively exchanging digitisation plans for archival materials. Updated Darat al Funun's exceptional digital archive of 30 years' of Middle Eastern art, increasing amount of information available on the website in Arabic and English, including translating short entries. Improved organisation of physical archive including works by Darat Al Funun’s Summer Academy for young artists, taught by the late Syrian artist Marwan Kassab Bachi. Executed two interactive photography projects on the opening day of the exhibition, involving guiding young Jordanian photographers predominantly in Arabic, the results of which are now exhibited as part of ‘Do it بالعربي' exhibition* *The exhibition is co-curated by Sharjah Art Foundation Director Hoor Al Qasimi and Serpentine Gallery co-Director Hans Ulrich Obrist, do it بالعربي is a new version of the travelling exhibition which engages audiences through instructions of how to make artworks made by contemporary artists in from the region.
