      My role as Program Leader - Illegal Dumping Strike Force is to lead the development, evaluation and oversight of the implementation of operational strategies - particularly the Illegal Dumping Strike Force including: - working closely with the organisation to identify and analyse priority environmental problems, specifically related to illegal dumping - developing risk based models for monitoring compliance with statutory tools - developing strategies and implementation plans to address priority environmental problems overseeing, driving and project managing the implementation of operational strategies where appropriate - evaluating and reporting on the outcome of implemented strategies Highlights of the role include: - Actively leading the development of a constructive culture within the team (and more broadly in the Ops Strategy Unit) through open and honest communication both with the team and with business unit mangers/Directors, strategy sessions and feedback - Effectively managing the team to implement the agreed program plan for Strike Force to the end of the program in 2013 including using appropriate risk management tools, governance structures and influencing relationships to achieve program outcomes. This includes managing cross-functional delivery of the program through three business units and other key stakeholders to ensure program objectives are met. - Making critical intelligence connections with other co-regulators (ATO, Victoria Police, Worksafe, UK Environment Agency) to enhance EPA’s capabilities in the intelligence and analysis space. - Manage a virtual team with significant budget and staff responsibilities, including meeting financial, quality and time related targets for the Strike Force program.
