SLFLC is an initiative of Edmund Rice Education Australia’s Flexible Schools Networks. It offers full time and multi-year secondary education and social inclusion programs for young people who are disengaged from mainstream education. I design and deliver the HSIE Stage 5 curriculum and support the electives programs through my skills and interests in music, football and share trading. MJC is an an independent non-government secondary school of years 9-12 that exists to engage at-risk young people in education. I commenced as a Supernumerary Teacher working across all subjects in the school. In 2001 I began teaching Stage 5 Work Education and Science. I was also responsible for implementing the whole school electives program and was selected by the Principal to support the implementation of a Transitions and Careers grant from the Association of Independent Schools.
