As a senior policy and strategy advisor, I was responsible for developing the Government's strategy for negotiations with the EU, through the use of evidence based policy recommendations. During my time in the department I led on a wide-range of workstreams ranging from overarching negotiations strategy, legislative sequencing and domestic implementation whilst working under conditions of unprecedented pace and public scrutiny. Responsible for delivering bespoke behavioural analysis to support the development of new policy, improve customer communications and drive improved business outcome. Responsibilities •Leading the rollout of a major new digital change management programme to 20 sites and 3000 staff utilising a behavioural change model. I was responsible for managing the initial roll-out of the Beta platform and undertaking both quantitative and qualitative analysis to improve future iterations of the platform and associated communications.•Designing behavioural interventions to improve customer services and internal processes.•Undertaking detailed research to support the development of high-profile government policies. •Designing detailed quantitative and qualitative behavioural research analysis from conception stage, utilising research best practice and key behavioural principles including interviews, questionnaires and typological analysis.

Policy Manager: Scotland Act Implementation

I was responsible for the Parliamentary commencement of new powers laid out in the Scotland Act 2016 including major new welfare, taxation, justice and law enforcement powers.Responsiblilities • Coordinating the commencement of the remaining Scotland Act 2016 powers to the Scottish Parliament working closely with partners across government and liaising with Parliamentary authorities.• Regularly briefing Ministers, senior officials and special advisors with updates on a wide variety of constitutional and implementation related issues.• Secretariat of the Cross-Government Scotland Act Implementation Board.

Project Manager: Newhaven Enterprise Zone

Responsible for project managing the start-up of the Newhaven Enterprise Zone for Coast to Capital Local Economic Partnership working closely with a range of local and national stakeholders.Responsibilities• Project managing the start-up of the Newhaven Enterprise Zone, providing strategic direction and identifying additional forward facing development opportunities.• Leading engagement as the public face of the project with a ride range of stakeholders from across business and the local community as well as central government. • Developing a public profile for the project, this included the development of a strategic communications plan and the organisation of a major launch event.• Responsible for commissioning and producing strategic pieces of research to identify future trends and develoment opportunities for the town.
