Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation

Government Administration

Overview

The Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI) leads the Government’s work to enable trustworthy innovation using data and artificial intelligence (AI) as part of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. The CDEI helps organisations across the public and private sectors to innovate through programmes and projects that develop tools, guidance and standards to give organisations confidence that AI and data-driven tech work the way they expect. And help them use AI and data in a way that builds public trust. Our work is underpinned by our innovative public attitudes research and our engagement with a range of industry, academic and legal experts.
